Internships in Tanzania
With RAFIKI it is possible for students of teaching from Kiel to complete their school internship in Tanzania and to get a corresponding certificate for their studies at the Christian-Albrechts-University.
We work together closely with the AG Didaktik der Geographie (= working group didactic of Geography) under the responsibility of Prof. Wilfried Hoppe and the “LiCAU” (Lehrerbildung International an der CAU = Teacher Training Internatiol at the CAU)
All of the interns take part in an obligatory introduction workshop at our partner BiBeKu GmbH. After that we sign an internship contract and organize the accommodation, catering as well as the transfer from and to the Kilimanjaro airport.
The costs for the internship have to be paid by the students completely, in individual cases there are funding opportunities though about which the students will be informed during the introduction workshop.
The visa application and the working permit have to be paid by the student as well.
At the moment the costs for accommodation and catering are 10.00€ per day which is to be paid to us.
Several students have already found convenient topics for their Bachelor or Master thesis during their internship such as the schooling system in Tanzania.
